Addressing Democracy Decline in West Africa
The event hopes to bring forward perspectives from past and current leaders, who are dealing with political challenges on a daily basis to provide informed analysis of what the real issues are. We are hoping to situate this conversation within the larger context of global democracy decline and the commonalities in challenges.
This year, Africa Week will focus on reconnecting with home – something that we’ve all missed and would undoubtedly want to experience again. As we welcome this new shade of normalcy, it is also a time for reflection and a time to celebrate our unique identities and how we contribute to the vibrant African landscape. Africa Week this year aims to bridge connections by exploring me, myself, and different facets of African innovation. By looking inward, we are not restricting ourselves to individualism. We seek community, connections, creativity, and cultures that are truly beautiful. We welcome everyone to celebrate the Motherland with YASA!
Events are open to all members of the Yale community.
