EveryBody Dances @ Yale Schwarzman Center brings local and visiting dance artists to our Dance Studio to teach masterclasses in jazz, hip hop, salsa, modern, contemporary, precision dance and more! All community members are welcome. This week's classes will be taught by Sally Hong. Both sessions will focus on Tony-nominated Broadway choreography by Bobby Longbottom, incorporating the use of traditional Chinese silk fans.

At 11am, the session is open to participants of all levels.

At 12:45, the second class is open to intermediate to advanced dancers to go further into the choreography.

Sally Hong was a Radio City Rockette for six seasons. She performed on Broadway in Flower Drum Song and in the National Tours of The King and I, Flower Drum Song (Dance Captain), and 42nd St. She has taught in studios and schools nationwide — currently at Sacred Heart University — and was one of the first to teach The Rockette Experience at Radio City. She served as Tap Choreographer for Trumbull High School, contributing to their production winning the Halo Awards for Best Supporting Actor, Best Actress, two Dance Molinari Scholarships, and Best Classical Musical. While in the capacity as Dance Director for Notre Dame Catholic High School, Sally secured multiple grants fulfilling her dream to introduce groups of students to Broadway shows and take workshops from cast members. Sally is a co-founder of Rockettes of Color Alumnae and is passionate about diversifying the line for multiple colors to be represented.  She was elected Rockette Alumnae Association 2nd Vice President in 2023. Sally has test-solved for Penny Press and Dell Magazines for 17 years.
