Inspired by the exhibition “Munch and Kirchner: Anxiety and Expression” on view February 16, 2024–June 23, 2024 at the Yale University Art Gallery, this event features a discussion about the intersections and divergences in the art making and biographies of Edvard Munch and Ernst Ludwig Kirchner with a focus on their mental health led by Freyda Spira,  the Robert L. Solley Curator of prints and drawings. The discussion precedes a guided meditation with Corinne Coia,  director of Yale College Wellness Programs. This uniquely interdisciplinary exploration of art and mental health is free and open to the public!

Presented by Yale University Art Gallery and The Good Life Center in partnership with Yale Schwarzman Center.
