YASA: Taking Up Space #2
This community gathering will commence the closing of Yale Africa Week 2021. Raising awareness that Africa Week is happening through dancing and music to let them know that we—Africans!— are here to share our voices.
#LetThemKnow!
This year, Africa Week will focus on reconnecting with home – something that we’ve all missed and would undoubtedly want to experience again. As we welcome this new shade of normalcy, it is also a time for reflection and a time to celebrate our unique identities and how we contribute to the vibrant African landscape. Africa Week this year aims to bridge connections by exploring me, myself, and different facets of African innovation. By looking inward, we are not restricting ourselves to individualism. We seek community, connections, creativity, and cultures that are truly beautiful. We welcome everyone to celebrate the Motherland with YASA!
Events are open to all members of the Yale community.
