Student performers took The Underground stage with flair on Thursday night, February 23, in The Sweet Spot: Unplugged, a lineup of acoustic and a cappella performances. Provided with only one or two microphones, students rocked and moved the audience crossing genres and languages. The lineup included a mix of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students and featured Evan Branham ’24, Anthony “T” Scarborough ’23, Lachlan Keller ’22, and Thomas Zamora ’23, collectively known as 3PM Noize Complaint (@3pmnoizecomplaintband) who performed an original song and What’s New Scooby Doo; Benjamin Johnson ‘25 Arch (@ben_jamin.17)who performed Rainbow Connection; Julia Senra ’23 GSAS who performed Luz do Sol, Jenelle Burgess ’26 (@jenellesmusic) who performed an original song; Nydia del Carmen ’26 who performed Prometo; Derek Demel ’23 GSAS (@derek_demel) who performed This Love and an original song; and Awuor Onguru ’24 (@daluikkot) who performed Blewu and an original song. The Sweet Spot: Unplugged was the second installment in The Sweet Spot series, which began in October 2022 with The Sweet Spot Comedy Night. The event series provides an open and welcoming format for students to perform at any level for an audience of Yale community members.  No audience registration is required.
