Global Table is a collaboration between the Yale MacMillan Center, Yale Schwarzman Center, and Yale Hospitality that aims to illuminate the connections between sustainability, health, culture, and community. The program brings culinary thought-leaders from around the world to campus. While in residence, each Global Table Fellow trains staff, connects with students and researchers, and offers remarks over a meal of their own devising.

Join us as we welcome Yale’s second Global Table Fellow-in-residence, Turkish social gastronomy pioneer and sustainability advocate Chef Ebru Baybara Demir.

  • 4pm - 5pm Chef Ebru Baybara Demir will give a lecture at Luce Hall titled "Food is a Tool for Change”: A Chef’s Commitment to Transforming Communities and Cultivating Sustainability in Turkey.
  • 5:15pm - 7pm Enjoy a reception at The Well featuring a menu of Chef Demir's culinary delights including grains with cultural and ceremonial significance.

Both the lecture and reception are free and open to the public.

We kindly request that you RSVP to let us know you plan to attend. However, registration is not required.
